New Camera

Okay so I am really going to try to blog again.  I bought a new camera, I have my laptop, so there really isn't any excuse.  So, this Blog is for you Clare Helen!!

I had a very busy and hectic month of July.  Clare was here for 3 weeks of it, and I never was able to make it up to Osage.  She came to C.R. and we had a chance to have a little fun.

Boys Just Wanna Have Fun!!!

My parents brought donuts over, Sunday morning, and you should of seen these boys come after them.  It was so funny, they were like vultures.

After donuts it was outside for a balloon toss.  It is fun to see a bunch of teenage boys decide to play something that you would never expect.

It is down to 3 boys, Landon, Jack and Nick. 

The Championship, of the balloon toss, came down to Jack and Landon.  They started off real close and took one step back, after each catch. 

Tony didn't get much sleep last night, and decided he would rather nap than watch the balloon toss finals!!

As you can see, Landon did not catch the balloon, so Jack was the winner of the 1st Annual Beginning of Summer Balloon Toss!!! 

Weekend Fun

Luke started the weekend off with some cinnamon rolls.  Thanks to Grandma Sue!!

Laughter is the best medicine.  I so enjoy seeing Connor and all of his buddies laughing and enjoying life.

Oh, there she is.  I can't find her out there blogging anywhere.  She went back to California, to party it up with her family.  Just kidding, you know I love you.

Actually, I had asked Clare, when she left, to take a family picture, since they would all be dressed up for this wedding.

I used to be a workout addict.  Well, that is gone.  Where did it go???  I am now afraid or should I say finding it very hard to begin again, and I really don't know why.   I used to really enjoy it too, that is the other thing that puzzles me.

A Reason to Blog

Aunt Hess

I took some time off from my blogging for many reasons.  The last few weeks have been tough.  My Uncle was diagnosed with Cancer and went to be with the Lord shortly there after.  My Mom was traveling back and forth to Osage to be with her sisters.  My cousin Clare had  flown back once to be with her Dad, and then drove back for his funeral. 

RIP Uncle Pete  -  March 13, 1927-May 1, 2010

Uncle's like you are precious and few. You have blessed me with so many memories, breakfast picnics, arrowheads, puzzles and more. You were witty, gentle, kind hearted and fun-loving, as you sat on the bench in Grandma's kitchen. An Uncle is someone special to remember with warmth, think of with pride, & cherish with... love. My boys were so blessed to know you as I did and refer to you as "Uncle Pete". May you RIP.

So, why Blog because Family and Friends are precious to our daily lives.  We get so busy with our lives that we forget to communicate and let our loved ones know what is going on in our lives.  I give my Aunt Hess, so much credit for purchasing a laptop, getting wireless Internet and learning how to use the Internet, at the young age of 70 something.

Cougar Clash 2010 Champions

We are the Champions!!

We have been waiting to play against the Cougars for over a year.  Luke and Jackson used to play on this Team.  On Saturday we met them for the first time.  Luke was behind the plate, had a few errors, hit okay but was far from one of his best games.  We were picked off at 1st base 3 times and even had a few walks, by our pitchers, along with some other silly errors.

On Sunday, we met the Cougars, again, in the Championship game.  Luke goes to school and has many close friends on the Cougar Team.  All week he had to hear about this game, from his classmates.  After school all he would talk about is what the kids were saying.

After not performing up to standards, in the first meeting on Saturday, and being benched for the last inning, his nerves got the best of him, for the  Championship Game against the Cougars.  Due to being a little anxious, nervous, what ever you want to call it, he got a headache.

He was playing against some of his best friends, when he left the Cougars there was alot of tension, and some of the remarks, from the Cougar Players, were not very nice.  All week I talked to him about this, and tried to reassure him it is ONLY a game. 

I was told that he needs to learn to deal with it, get over it, and play.  We will see how the rest of the year goes!!
