I now work in the School's, where the first drop of snow, they get all excited and call school off or let the kids out early. They discussed this all morning, and I was anti-let them out early. I think I made a few enemies but so be it. This storm was nothing, if you took your time, and drove carefully, then the roads were fine.
Also, if you choose to build a house or live in a town outside Cedar Rapids, that is your choice. (West Branch, Palo, Vinton, Mt. Vernon etc..) Either get a job in your own town or make it to work, or move closer, BUT DO NOT complain about how bad your drive was and you can't believe you risk your life for this job, you made the choice to live that far away.
Don't get me wrong, the snow is beautiful and I do enjoy it. After a while it does get old BUT I choose to deal with it since I live here, what other choice do I have.
A snowflake is one of God's most fragile creations, but look what they can do when they stick together! ~Author Unknown
